Guides for running Sendvelo self-hosted after purchase—install, license, update, and operate the platform.
Product overview
Sendvelo is a multi-channel customer engagement platform for email, push notifications, SMS, and WhatsApp. Use campaigns, templates, segments, and automated journeys from one admin UI.
The commercial self-hosted product is a perpetual license for one production installation, with 12 months of updates and standard support included. Renew updates & support for $49/year when that window ends—the purchased software continues to run either way.
Installation
Start here after checkout: download the Docker deployment ZIP, configure .env from .env.example, run ./install.sh, and activate your license.
License & entitlement
- Perpetual license — keep using the purchased version after support expires.
- One production installation — deactivate before migrating to a new server.
- Updates & support — download newer releases only while your entitlement covers their release date; renew from Account → Licenses.
- Activation — Dashboard → License after install (
/dashboard/license).
After install
Sign in, finish organization setup, and configure channel providers from the in-app settings (email, SMS, push, WhatsApp credentials are stored server-side—never in the browser).
Create templates, import contacts, build segments, then run campaigns or journeys. Sending is enforced by your active software license on the self-hosted backend.
Secure downloads
Software packages live in private object storage. Download buttons call the Sendvelo API, which checks payment, license ownership, and update entitlement, then returns a short-lived signed URL.
Those URLs expire within minutes by design. Request a fresh download anytime from the purchase confirmation link in your email or from Account → Licenses when signed in. You do not need a permanent public file link.
Support
Email support@thesendvelo.com with your order number and license ID (not the full license key) when you need help.
